True / False statements. - Lots of different ways of doing this:
- Powerpoint with the statements one per page and a big fun TRUE! or FALSE, D'oh! page after each one. Can use red / green cards for the
students to show their opinion before revealing the answer. You can then probe their understanding by asking questions on some of the statements.
- A quicker but possibly less effective is to just read out the answers and get hands up if they think it's true.
- Gather students in the middle of the room (they always like herding together it seems!). Designate one side of the room TRUE and the other FALSE.
State or show the er statement and then ask them to move to whichever side of the room they think the answer is - the further towards the wall the more confident they
are of the answer. Good kinaesthetic learning laying the smack down.
